was born Sep 17, 1942 at Brockton, MA and married Margaret Kay Kyzar Nov
13, 1966 at Arlington, VA. After getting tossed out of Tufts
University in 1961 I worked in a shoe factory, as a carpenter,
paperhanger, heavy equipment operator and finally enlisted in the Navy
in 1962. I served on both surface ships and submarines, mostly in
connection with the Polaris/Poseidon missile programs. I was
commissioned as a warrant officer in 1978 and retired in 1986 a CWO4.
I went to work for Newport News Shipbuilding in 1988 and retired in
October 2000. I worked part-time at the local airport until
October 2001 when I returned to the shipyard working for Kelly Technical
Services. I am unemployed/retired again as of April 2003 and hope
to stay that way. Mar-Kay and I live in Newport News, VA and have been here
in the Hampton Roads area since 1980.
Margaret Kay KYZAR "Mar-Kay" ~ born Jan 21, 1944 at Louisville, KY, daughter of Carlton Lapearl Kyzar and Mary Margaret Evans. Mar-Kay was working for the CIA (as a key-punch operator) when we met. When we got stationed here in 1980 she started working for the Army, first as a clerk, then as a buyer and is now a contract specialist and contracting officer at Fort Eustis, VA. She retired in March 2009. |
